Hi Folks!

We had a wonderful trip to the United States Naval Academy's Merit Badge
Jamboree and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Weekend.
Friday night was relatively warm at around 28 degrees, but quite windy
overnight! Saturday was a bit breezy and we ended up having to locate some
ground cloths that were blown free as the tents were lifted by their flies
by the winds! Overnight, the winds quieted down and temperatures dropped.
It was 21 degrees as we were packing up in the pre-dawn darkness at around
6:00 AM. After Mass at St. Mary's, where we prayed for the end of abortion,
we went to Ft. McHenry in Baltimore where we toured the fort and learned of
its history, not only of the War of 1812 and the "Star Spangled Banner", but
of latter times. After this, we each headed home with most arriving by
about 4:30 PM.

Those who attended the weekend are to wear their USNA NESA Jamboree/STEM
weekend T-shirts OVER their sweat shirts to the meeting this week along with
Scout pants.

This will be considered proper uniform for those Scouts this week.

We will be splitting our attention over the next couple of weeks to involve
completion of the Citizenship & Communications badges for some, mostly older
Scouts, and Electricity, Electronics, Radio and Computers for others. We
will need adults and Scouts who have these badges to work with the other
Scouts on these badges over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
