[Troop139] Wood Badge Course - Adults PLEASE READ!

Hi Folks!
There is an excellent opportunity to have some advanced adult leadership training in Scouting, that will have a much greater impact on your life than simply in Scouting.

Wood Badge is a two weekend, plus some additional time training experience that will transform your mode of interaction with your children, your other family members, colleagues at work and in other aspects of your life.
I would strongly suggest that you participate.  There is a requirement to have completed the SM/ASM training before taking this course and many of our parents have that pre-requisite.  Enclosed is the link for more information.
One aspect of the course, is that if you sign up before the end of the year, you can request financial support from the Scout Council.  I would also suggest that we consider subsidizing the adults committed to taking the course, as it will produce valuable benefits to the Troop.

In past, our Troop had a significant number of Wood Badge trained adults.  Most have moved on to other activities, but even many of those folks do things quietly in the background for the Troop, District and Council to benefit our boys and others.  Currently, Nancy and I are the only two adult members of the Troop with Wood Badge training and it would be great to have more!  Please consider signing up before the end of the year.
