Hi Folks!

Here is a great opportunity to take the Skywarn training at home!  

This Wednesday night, the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly,
New Jersey is conducting via a Webinar.  There is no other scheduled
opportunity this Federal Budget year (FY14 ends next October).

Please pre-register for this webinar in order to participate.  Scouts must
inform their parents of their desire to attend and get their verbal
approval.

NWS Mt Holly NJ is conducting an online (Webinar type) SKYWARN Training
Class on October 23. 2013

Pre-registration is MANDATORY (see additional info below about requirements
to take this Class)

Note: As per the NWS, this class is ONLY for those located in the county
warning area covered by the NWS Mt Holly. In the ARRL NNJ Section that
includes: Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and
Warren counties

Additional important information on this Class from the NWS:

The SKYWARN Basic Training Webinar will take place on Oct. 23, 2013 at 7PM.
The training will last until approximately 10PM.

After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing
information about joining the Webinar. You must be at least 16 years of age
or have parent supervision to join the network.

System Requirements: 

PC-based attendees 

Required: WindowsR7, Vista, XP or 2003 Server 

MacintoshR based attendees 

Required: Mac OSR X 10.5 or newer 

This time we are going to use your computer's speakers and microphone
(optional) for the audio portion of the session. You must have speakers
hooked up to your computer in order to hear the presentation.
