[Troop139] IMPORTANT! Saturday, May 11th Car Wash and Bake Sale

Diana and Ben,

The car wash stuff is in the church basement.   We will need soap, but there
are quite a few towels, buckets, and hoses.  We can take stock of it and
figure out what else we need tomorrow night during the Troop meeting.  

I will be driving directly to the meeting from Fancy Gap, VA, when I am
currently away on business.  

Saturday, Jeremy has away games, so we will not be available.

On Sunday, I am heading to San Ramon, CA on another business trip and will
miss next week's meeting.  Any ideas for next week are welcome.  Let's
discuss ideas then!

Hi all, 

I have received notice from Sandy, Carolyn and Joanne that they can bake.
This is excellent!  Any other people interested in baking, please just go
ahead and bring something. Cupcakes are always a plus! Or bags of 2-3
cookies each. 

Ben, I wouldn't worry about the coffee, we really want to keep our expenses
down to 0.  Even going to buy stuff will still eat profit. (If you already
picked it up, no worries. :) )

If you could pick up the soap (I am not sure what Gordon has left) and some
towels, that would be enough. Gordon has the buckets of stuff at his house
and hopefully will bring it tomorrow to the meeting to had off to someone. 

I also know that Ben, Dennis and Carolyn can be at the Conlon Hall in the
morning from 9 - 11:30 or so. I will need a set of parents to keep an eye on
things from 12 - 2 or 3 (depending on the "traffic").  So please let me know
if you are available.  

PATROL LEADERS, please let me know which members of YOUR patrol will be
attending on Saturday!

OH! And attached is the flyer for copies and distribution! If someone would
let me know if they can hand these out downtown Bergenfield Or get them hung
up on telephone poles this week, that would be great!  I will bring
Construction Paper and Bulleting Paper to make signs during Tuesdays meeting
for hanging too!

Hi All, 

Troop 139 is scheduled to hold a Car Wash and Bake Sale on Saturday, May
11th at Conlon Hall in Bergenfield to raise money for Summer Camp
Camperships. 

I will need one or two adults to take control of, supervise and coordinate
this event. I just found out yesterday that my Goddaughter is having her
birthday party in PA and I will now not be in Bergenfield on May 11th. 

Please check your calendars and please let me know if you are available to
coordinate with Kofi (the Senior Patrol Leader) to make this happen? I am
hoping for an answer by the end of this week so that we do not have to
cancel. 

What will need to happen:

All Scouts should save the date for this car wash (this was on the recently
distributed Troop calendar)

Kofi (the Senior Patrol Leader) will need to work with the Parent
Coordinator and the scouts to get this going (it should run from 9 AM - 3
PM). 

I will put an ad in the twin-boro and the church bulletin. I will send out a
promotional flyer in a day or so. 

Signs will need to be made on the Tuesday prior and hung either the night
before or morning of. 

Mom's and Dad's or Grandmas that bake... we will need something baked from
each family, either cookies, cupcakes, or individual little cakes (hint,
hint to Mrs. Miller) so that we can sell them. 

We have all the supplies needed (but we may need some soap), that the
coordinator can get from Mr. Beattie prior to the car wash (hoses, buckets,
spray nozzles, towels, etc.) 

All scouts should bring water a bag lunch with them.
