Nicholas will not be able to attend the car wash, he has school exams on that day and I have to work, but I could print/copy flyers and help distribute them.  Do you have a printed or electronic copy I could use?

*         Ben and I will be there at 9am but we need to leave at 11:30 am.



*         Odalys will make a something.  I would recommend making coffee so that folks can have their cake and coffee right there while they wait for their car.  I have a large 40 cup machine I can bring.  If we don't get a good response from parents on the baked goods we could go to Freihofers for about than $21 bucks we can pick up a  bunch of baked goods including bagels.



*         I need to stop by Costco in the next few days anyway so I'll pick up the soap and a package of car towels.  If you like the coffee idea, I can also pick up milk.  I think we have sugar and cups left over from one of the trips but let me know if we don't, I can pick those up also.



*         Can we make up a bunch of 8x11 sheets announcing the car wash? We could ask the Scouts next Tuesday to go around town and tape them locally.  I think we need to give folks some more time to know this event is taking place.

Hi All,



Troop 139 is scheduled to hold a Car Wash and Bake Sale on Saturday, May 11th at Conlon Hall in Bergenfield to raise money for Summer Camp Camperships.



I will need one or two adults to take control of, supervise and coordinate this event. I just found out yesterday that my Goddaughter is having her birthday party in PA and I will now not be in Bergenfield on May 11th.



Please check your calendars and please let me know if you are available to coordinate with Kofi (the Senior Patrol Leader) to make this happen? I am hoping for an answer by the end of this week so that we do not have to cancel.



What will need to happen:



All Scouts should save the date for this car wash (this was on the recently distributed Troop calendar)



Kofi (the Senior Patrol Leader) will need to work with the Parent Coordinator and the scouts to get this going (it should run from 9 AM - 3 PM).



I will put an ad in the twin-boro and the church bulletin. I will send out a promotional flyer in a day or so.



Signs will need to be made on the Tuesday prior and hung either the night before or morning of.



Mom's and Dad's or Grandmas that bake... we will need something baked from each family, either cookies, cupcakes, or individual little cakes (hint, hint to Mrs. Miller) so that we can sell them.



We have all the supplies needed (but we may need some soap), that the coordinator can get from Mr. Beattie prior to the car wash (hoses, buckets, spray nozzles, towels, etc.)



All scouts should bring water a bag lunch with them.
