[Troop139] Invention

-Troop,

In scouting today, a few of us, along with the help of Mr. Beattie and Mr. Gungil, were completing requirements for the inventing merit badge, and came across a requirement that can only be done with the help of everyone in the troop. The requirement stated that we have to invent something that does not have a patent and would be useful to a organization. The invention that was declared was an Iron man suit. The supplies needed will be prohibitively expensive, so in result, we're only going to build the Iron man torso. We are going to need a few pieces of material that would help us invent such a touch item, that can endure certain forces like tearing, stabbing, and swatting. The materials that were considered at the meeting was Iron, being the main product, a accelerometer to measure the force, and a rubber insulator, to absorb the shock. We also need a knife for stabbing, a hand rake for tearing, and a baseball bat for swatting.

We made a list of material that we could use, so by any chance we can't obtain materials like iron or rubber, we have back-up plans.

ACTIVITIES OF ASSULT: SUIT MATERIALS: INSULATORS:

		Tearing Iron Paper
		stabbing Aluminum rubber
		swatting wood cushion

Another suggestion is that instead of building a protective suit of any kind, we could always borrow a Kevlar vest and an accelerometer from the Bergenfield police station, and we could demonstrate the strength it could stand.
