Hi Folks,

Last night our son James had a seizure while driving home from the Bergen
County Operations Center where he is an 911 Operator (PST).

We are not sure if the accident was due to the seizure, or the seizure was
due to the accident.  He is in ICU at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.  He is
recovering and should be out of ICU today or tomorrow with no apparent
injuries.  The responding EMTs put him on a vent because of the seizures,
but he is breathing on his own.   They are weaning him from the machine now.

Please say some prayers for him and us and I'll update everyone once we have
a clear picture of his prognosis.

I have the flags for the parade on Monday, but need someone to rendez-vous
with me to collect the flags for the parade in case I am unable to meet the
Troop and Pack at Franklin School at 1:15 PM on Monday.

We have all the Troop flags but we may be short at least one and maybe two
Troop flag holders.  The Troop flag holders are the simple yoke-type that go
around one's neck.  One can be made with a PVC pipe adapter fitting, some
webbing and a nut and bolt.  If someone goes over to the Church basement to
take a look, it may turn up.  I have webbing if needed, but Campmor and
Ramsey Outdoor sell it by the foot.  The rest you can get at Home Depot or
Lowes.  If someone collects the flags and holders, they will see how easy
they are to make.

We are also missing the Pack's American Flag and its holder.  We have the
Pack flag and its holder.  It is a black, leather cross-back strap type of
holder.  The flag may have been left it in Conlon Hall after the Blue and
Gold.  If someone could take a look around St. John's in Conlon Hall and the
Church basement, it may turn up.

Worst case, combine the Color Guards for the Pack and Troop using the
Troop's American Flag, the Vatican Flag, State, County, Troop and Pack in a
three rank, column of twos.  Please make sure that the American Flag is on
"its own right" meaning on the left as it approaches you on the line of
march.

If you are able to find or replace the missing flag holders, then insert the
Scouting flag in position 5 and the POW MIA flag in position 6 and move the
Troop and Pack flags to positions 7 and 8 following the pattern.
