[Troop139] Successful Hike and Campout!

Hi Folks!
Troop 139 had another successful hike on the Palisades Historical Trail
along the banks of the Hudson on such a wonderful day, yesterday May 12th
followed by a great night camping in Camp Alpine's Site 4.  

 

Sean, John, Dino, Nicholas, Sam, Jeremy, Justin and Aslan were our intrepid
hikers escorted by Eagle Scout John Beattie and Mr. Gungil and Mr. Beattie.
It was Nicholas' first campout and Sam, Jeremy, Justin and Aslan worked with
him on building a shelter and a fire for their evening. With a few small
requirements to complete, both our new Scouts, Nicholas and Kojo will be
receiving their Tenderfoot Rank Badges in June.  

 

This is an exciting time for them and for those experienced Scouts who gave
of themselves to lead them to this special milestone over the last two
weeks.
