Hi

In #8 and #9...

The Sunday's in August are the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

8.	The Adirondack trip is now slated for the latter part of the summer.
We need to settle on which week is best for all concerned in the next week
or so. How does the Sunday, August 15th after the Hamfest (Saturday 8/14)
sound to folks? Should it be later in the summer?

************************************

Phil, Diana and I have already spoken about having a Beefsteak Dinner. We
will need help obtaining addresses for invitations.

9.	The Troop 139 70th Anniversary Dinner is scheduled for September
15th in Conlon Hall. We need to get a Committee together to help organize
this program and to engage Troop alumni and their families as well.

Thanks!

Carolyn

Hi Folks!

We have a couple of good things to complete this week as we prepare for our
summer activities:

1.	Merit Badge selection for camp and for general advancement. Camp
Turrell is scheduled for Sunday, July 29 to Saturday, August 4th.

All Scouts and adults attending camp are required to have a completed BSA
medical form and a physical in the 365 days prior to the last day of either
Camp Turrell or Floodwood. There is no fee for adult attendance at camp,
but there will be assigned duties for all adults participating. This may
include Scout Leader Training for a few hours each day while in camp.

2.	We need to completely resolve any discords in record-keeping for
advancement between the BSA National ScoutNet database and TroopMaster
database maintained by the Troop.

3.	June Newsletter articles and announcements need to be completed by
this week's meeting for inclusion in the Church bulletin this Sunday
(Father's Day) and it is an ideal opportunity to spread the word about the
Troop.

4.	Mr. Sciame, Mr. Gungil and I will be meeting with our Senior Patrol
Leader, Dino Landaverde to discuss Troop organization and activities, so
Scouts are encouraged to provide any suggestions and program ideas to Dino
this week.

5.	Our June Fishing Trip/Campout to Campgaw Reservation is scheduled
for June 22-24 in Mahwah.

Mrs. Daly needs to know who is attending ASAP.

6.	Mr. Sciame made a poignant presentation at our Court of Honor about
the need for trained Scout Leaders, Merit Badge Counselors, and Troop
Committee members and a cleanup of outstanding finances. Please see Gordon
Beattie (201.314.6964) about what is involved in Scout Troop Leadership and
Merit Badge Counselors opportunities and see Phil Sciame (201.384.3553)
about Committee Membership and financial issues.

7.	Our Troop Room cleanup project is set for Tuesday and Wednesday,
June 26 & 27.

These two days will provide us with an opportunity to clean up and organize
items across two evenings.

8.	The Adirondack trip is now slated for the latter part of the summer.
We need to settle on which week is best for all concerned in the next week
or so. How does the Sunday, August 15th after the Hamfest (Saturday 8/14)
sound to folks? Should it be later in the summer?

9.	The Troop 139 70th Anniversary Dinner is scheduled for September
15th in Conlon Hall. We need to get a Committee together to help organize
this program and to engage Troop alumni and their families as well.

10.	Eagle Project Statuses

a.	Alex Slaughter is awaiting confirmation on an extension for his
Eagle Project. I granted and approved, he will need some assistance to
complete the project.
b.	Justin Miller will need some help in identifying and staffing some
small additional Food Drive events to support his Eagle Project
c.	Jeremy Beattie's project will need one more construction and testing
day and/or evening and then he will need to engage the Red Cross for a
deployment test.
d.	Charlie Dewey will need some adult review of his project proposal,
so that it can be moved forward to the District Advancement Committee.
e.	Arslan Gungil and Eisen Villaluna are just getting organized to
define their Eagle Projects and will need project ideas.

11. We will have a meeting on Tuesday, July 3rd and we need to discuss
possible programs for July 10, 17 and 24. We do need to complete pre-camp
Merit Badge paper work and also work out Patrols and other leadership
positions.

Yours in Scouting!
Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
