[Troop139] Communications Volunteers Needed for the Passaic County Fair (WED-SUN)

Hi Folks!
We have a communications volunteer opportunity this week at the Passaic
County Fair at the Garret Mt. Reservation on Rifle Camp Road right off of
Rt. 80.

 

It is anticipated that our roles will be as Command Post and Logistics
volunteers.  Please plan to come one hour before and stay up to one hour
after the fair hours.  We will be operating on both Amateur and Sheriff's
Dept. radio frequencies depending on your role.  

Bring a handheld portable 2m radio, rain gear, pad, pen, water bottle and
other personal supplies.

 

Dress code is trousers and neat, preferably collared shirt.

If you have a "COMM TECH" vest, please wear that as well.

 

*        If you have an Amateur Radio License you are needed for this event
for any of the evenings that you can attend.

*        If you need a ride, that can be arranged.

*        If you need equipment, it is available.

 

There is a staff barbecue that will feed you for free each evening of the
fair.

The hours of operations are: 

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, July 18, 19, 20 from 5 to 11 p.m.; 

Saturday, July 21 from 4 to 11 p.m.; and 

Sunday, July 22 from 4 to 10 p.m.
