[Troop139] Troop 139 Parent Meeting on January 8th.

Gordon,

Thanks for the note.  I think it's a great idea to have a parent meeting in early January.   There's a lot to plan and do in 2013 as a Troop and we're all going to need to work together to make it a successful year for our scouts.  

This said, Ben's with the Troop 139 now for 5 years.  As a member I believe that while there are a number of great things about our Troop.  I also must humbly note my opinion that there are areas where we could improve.   If I may,  I would ask if you could place the key topics of finances,  planning, coordinating and communication on the agenda.  I think these are key areas of opportunity for improvement.   When I think of my own role in the troop I know I could be doing a lot better job in supporting 139.  

I'd personally ask everyone to please come to the meeting ready to talk about how we can work better as a team.  Any problem can be fixed but it requires all of us to get involved.   If we're serious about 2013 being a really successful year for our scouts we need to talk together, plan together then act together as one team.   

With over three weeks' advance notice, I would strongly encourage every parent to please make the plans necessary so that you can be there on Jan 8th.   Thanks for listening....

Hi Folks!

 

On Tuesday, we will be meeting starting at 6:00 PM for a Pot Luck Supper followed by the Court of Honor.  

 

Schedules will be passed out for January and February.

Planning for the following months will be done between now and the end of January.

Ideas and volunteers, both Scouts and adults, to facilitate them are welcome!

 

NOTE: There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 instead of the Troop meeting.  

All parents should plan to attend 

Please make arrangements to attend this parent-only meeting
