Kayak Discovery Course

Thank you for signing up for our Kayak Discovery Course. Our expert L.L.
Bean kayak instructors will teach you basic kayak strokes and the essentials
of kayak safety. Stable recreational kayaks will be used during the
interpretive tour. We provide all of the necessary equipment; life jacket,
kayak, paddle, and water shoes.

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all participants, the minimum age to
kayak is 8 years old. Minors age 8 to 15 years old must be accompanied by a
participating adult.

To increase your enjoyment, you may want to bring a hat, sunglasses, a full
water bottle, a snack, and any personal medications (inhaler, EpiPen, etc.).
There is a chance you may get a little wet from your paddle dripping; you
will be most comfortable in quick-dry clothing. If you have closed-toed
water shoes, please wear them. If you don’t, you can wear our shoes to
protect your toes/feet.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your start time. The course will begin on
time so you can fully discover the joy of kayaking. If you are more than 10
minutes late, you will need to re-schedule into another course.

Refund Policy: 30 days in advance = 100% refund
