Do we have any pictures?
Will you please make sure that this thank you gets into the bulletin so that the parish knows what the boys do.

Hi Folks!
Just want to thank Jeremy, Reinier, Mr. Carlos and Mr. San Juan for their
time and effort in making this rather large scale flag retirement happen
tonight. It needed to be done before the weekend was done because of a
pending fire inspection next week at the Church. This retirement had been
delayed since the drought of the spring and early summer.

I also want to thank Sam, who came, but missed us, for his effort to
participate. Service hours will be given to each of these Scouts. I would
also like to thank Steven B. and Mike L., friends of Jeremy's, and
parishioners here at St. John's for their end-to-end effort for this
project. I will issue service hour letters to them as well as to our Scouts
if they need them.

Yours in Scouting!
Thanks & 73,
Gordon Beattie, W2TTT

Hi Folks!
Pardon the VERY SHORT NOTICE, but we have a need to retire the large volume
of flags stored at St. John's and the opportunity to retire them has
presented itself - today!

If you are available, please come to the Lower Church at St. John's at 6:00
PM tonight to load the flags into my van.
if there is no wedding tonight, then I will park on Washington Avenue and
load my truck from the front basement entrance.

Do not look for my van in the lot.

This is a messy but important job, so any class B or decent, but not fragile
clothing is acceptable.

Bring a water bottle as it gets hot.

We will transport the flags for retirement tonight and retire them
immediately after we get a fire going.

If you require additional details, please call me.

Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
