2 suggestions for next year ....... (a) when the signs and markers are put up outlining the race course .......those
doing that job should be given a spray can of black paint so as to be able to neatly "black-out" the various
colored symbols from previous races that confused this years' riders and, (b) each rest stop should be given a
packet of a couple of extra blank signs w/markers in case they need to replace a missing or damaged sign ......
some of our make-shift signs were functional for a time ..... but a few stakes and placards would have been helpful .....

This was a fun event and I look forward to helping again next year.

Cheers,

Lou

PS  Kudos to Gordon W2TTT for his incredible effort!!

Gordon,

I'd like to second what Linda wrote, we saw several times yesterday how helpful it was to be able to radio around to investigate problems and get some real-time answers, which would be much harder with cell phones. Also to know there's a communication central is a tremendous relief to the Rally Chair who otherwise can get overwhelmed with inquiries, trivial and otherwise.

However it should not be rocket science that the communications center, and all HAM and rest stops and SAG vehicles, should have copies of all cue sheets and maybe also Hagstrom maps. Linda, maybe you can add this to the allocation sheet as an item to help us remember.

Thanks, again Gordon, not just for the help of the whole team, but yours in assembling our new PA system and the nice talks we've enjoyed. Looking forward to seeing at the recap meeting and tonight also.

Ken
