[Troop139] 2012 Ramapo Rally

Linda et al,

This is a great opportunity to help the public and keep in practice for
emergency operations.This event, the Bergen County Bike Ride and the Passaic
County Fair provide many of us with an opportunity to do positive things for
our community during the summer and "tune us up" for real events such as
last year's September hurricane and October snow and ice storms.  These
events knocked out power, telephone and wireless and many of us were
activated for shelters and weather reporting in support of public safety
agencies.  

 

I'm really proud of each and every one of the operators who participate, as
they have put themselves out to help others and to improve their skills
under challenging situations.  Everyone learned and grew through the process
of helping others and that is a good thing!

 

The BTCNJ crew are great folks and that makes for a wonderful partnership!
We all look forward to next year!

riders registered for routes ranging from 12 to 125 miles!

package for the post-Rally review meeting.
