[Troop139] Good Friday Hikes

Hi Folks!
Troop 139 Eagle Scout Robert Dziemian has started to through hike the
Appalachian Trail.  Bob is an experienced outdoorsman who has been to
Floodwood, in New York, the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Northern
Tier in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota.  He is one of only three Troop 139
people with the BSA 500 Camping Night Award and has served on camp staffs as
well as on the Northern Tier staff.

 

Troop 139 Eagle Scout Rob Kohrs has also completed this journey many years
ago, so it is nice to see this challenge being taken up by a new generation
of young people.

 

We wish him the best of luck in what is going to be a successful journey!

Following the tradition of Good Friday hikes for Troop 139, Bob is stepping
off today from Springer Mountain Georgia, to begin his quest of hiking the
entire Appalachian Trail.  He should be in our neck of the woods in mid-July
and hopes to be finished in early September.  Just a walk in the woods.
