[Troop139] Additional/Alternative CERT Classes

Hi Folks!
You might find that attending these classes works better for you.  

You may also intermix these dates with the ones in Mahwah if you have
scheduling issues that require a makeup class.

 

Sometime in the future, the North Arlington classes will add some optional
sessions on HAZMAT and CPR/AED which are also useful.  

 

North Arlington is an easy trip straight down Rt 17 onto Ridge Rd. which is
Rt. 17 even though it is local streets at that point.

We have just received the following information about additional CERT
classes to be held in North Arlington.

North Arlington has 20 local residents interested and pre-registered in
taking the CERT course.  The course will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays,
specifically;

Oct. 31, November 2, 7, 9. 14, 16, 21.  The course modules will be assigned
to the specific dates as soon as we confirm the commitment dates of the Fire
Suppression instructor.  Most of these dates do not conflict with the
recently announced County CERT Course dates, with the advantage of
participants missing either, have the opportunity to access a make up class
(s).

 

NA will be offering two optional courses; HAZMAT and CPR/AED, that are
supplemental to the CERT modules. No dates have been assigned as of yet, and
will be announced shortly, but will be after the CERT dates.

 

The CERT classes will be held at the North Arlington Fire Station meeting
room, Schuyler Ave.  Classes are from 7-9 PM.

 

Lt. Frank Guanci, NAPD, OEM/CERT, will be handling the CERT registrations.
