Hi Folks!

As we discussed during last week's meeting, there will be a series of sign
ups for parents to complete during Tuesday's meeting at 7:00 PM.

Please come anytime during the Troop meeting and we can explain the various
needs and help you match them to your interests and availability.

We will have the following sign-up forms available:

1.	Adult registration (This will register a parent with the BSA and
provide a monthly journal of useful information to you.)
2. Merit Badge Counselor (There are over 120 different Merit Badges,
so there are sure to be several for which every parent is qualified.)
3.	Trip Schedule (Who can chaperone for the weekends that we have
scheduled? Who can drive?)
4.	Meeting Schedule (Who can attend meetings and provide supervision?)

Each parent will need to complete each of these four areas by next week's
meeting. If Tuesday is not free for you to attend, please let me know and
we can make arrangements for another night.

All of these measures are being taken because events have been run with
absolutely minimal supervision or have been curtailed due to the lack of
available supervision. Stability and quality of our program cannot be
adequately provided without the commitment a small number of individuals.

Religious Awards

If your son is working on his religious award, we also will need you to
commit your son to complete the activities required for each award. We
spend money for the materials and awards and don't want to waste resources
if you are unable to work with your son to ensure program completeness.
Further, if your son is earning the Ad Altare Dei or Pius XII Awards, he
must attend the Scout Sunday ceremony on the second Sunday in February at
the Cathedral in Newark.

Yours in Scouting!
Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
