Support, etc

George,

Many thanks for the forecast information. It seems that we should have a
good day!

All,

Our plan is to gather in the main Bergen Community College parking lot at
7:00 AM on Sunday, do a briefing and then head to our assigned positions if
they are not at the college.

We will be using either or both the 146.955 (PL 141.3) or 146.835 repeaters
during the event.

We also need more SAG operators either to ride in an existing SAG vehicle or
to provide one.

Other operators would be welcome as well to send to some key intersections.

Please wear lime-green, orange-accented safety vests (as is used by Passaic
County RACES/ARES and Venture Crew 7373 & Troop 139. Also, orange
hats/helmets would also be useful.

Venture Crew 7373/Troop 139 Scouts and adults should wear the orange Class
“B” uniform shirts and either pants or shorts with Scout socks.

Bring water, snacks and personal items.

Based on the Thursday 10:23 AM Pinpoint forecast update, for Central Bergen
County NJ, issued by the NWS Upton NY (details by hour below) , the
following is the expected weather scenario for this Sunday's Bergen County
Bike Tour event.

Temperatures should start the day (6AM) in the low to mid 60's, rising to
the low 70's by 10AM, then to the mid 70's by Noon. Dewpoints will be in the
mid to high 50's during this period, meaning a non-humid day.

Winds are expected t be Calm, if any at all and starting out of the SSW in
the early AM shifting slightly to the S and Se towards Noon.

Sky cover is expected to be partly overcast to cloudy (60% plus coverage)

A Slight Chance of Rain will be in the picture from 6AM thru 8PM, and a
Slight Chance of Thunderstorms will enter the picture from 12:00 Noon
forward.

Based on this scenario, the possible rain, etc, we are making plans to
actively Staff the BergenSkywarn Wx Desk in support of the event.
