Good Morning Gordon- Sounds like an awesome learning perspective, similar to what I am doing for part of the Summer at Columbia University: Project Based Learning. Based on the description of the activities, this is best practice. Supported by sound research and active learners. Maybe take it one step further and look at the ecological ad/disvantages of the technology and it's life cycle/carbon footprint. Congrats for the wonderful work you and all do to make learning fun and engaging.
