Hi Folks!

Here is a note from Jim Jackson, the lead instructor for the General License
Class on Friday with some good tips and a web reference for both Technician
and General License candidates!

We encourage anyone with a Technician License to consider upgrading as it
will open up a whole bunch of interesting activities to you in Amateur
Radio.

We also encourage anyone who is not yet licensed to consider getting their
Technician License as it opens up many entry points to interesting personal
communications.

RSVP if you are planning to attend either class so that we can plan
attendance appropriately.

Yours in Scouting!
Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT

Radio One-Day Courses - Friday, December 30

Merry Christmas!

I have edited the 2011 No Nonsense General Guide from
http://kb6nu.com/tech-manual/ for a wide projector display, leaving out some
of the fiddly bits that do not work in a one-day class.

Attached is my current iteration. I would suggest that folks should go
through the original version from the web site BEFORE coming to the one-day.
Also try the on-line testing for a little reality check. I will try to go
through the entire guide, with a little explanation where needed. With 400
questions in the pool, it will be a tight day, and prior study is very
important.

Looking Forward

Jim, NS2K
