FYI...the links below (both NWS locations so you can see all of NJ) are as
detailed as any info can and will be on Irene....note...NWS New York, the
office that covers Bergen County...has not started to issue statements
(yet). Once they do, they will be as detailed as what now is coming out of
Mt Holly.

 

For NNJ Counties (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union) covered by NWS
New York:

The reason Mt Holly is issuing already, their area is already in a Hurricane
Watch...I would expect that to also be the case for NWS New York's area
later tonight or Friday morning.

 

Feel Free to share this info and email with others...the is the full and

The ARRL NNJ Section is covered by 2 NWS forecast offices (Mt Holly and New
York) both offices will be issuing updates, in very complete details, every
few hours over the next several days. Each statement will include
information on when to expect the next update.

 

For NNJ Counties (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union) covered by NWS

For all other NNJ (Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth Morris, Somerset, Sussex,
Warren) and all SNJ Counties covered by NWS Mt Holly:

Note, NWS Mt Holly is now (as of Friday evening) already issuing updates,
NWS New York will begin theirs once Watches and/or Warnings are posted for
areas their County Warning Area. The Links above will work to get you the
last issued official and highly detailed updates (NOTE: at this time this is
being sent the one from NWS New York still has the last one they issued in
2010 for TS EARL...this will soon be replaced with information on Irene,
most likely on Saturday AM if not sooner)
