Hi Gordon,
?
Sergio is interested in taking the course. But I may have an issue on getting him there as Steph has dance on Wednesdays. I could definately do a pick up at the end of class if needed.
?
Can you let me know?
?
BTW. I HIGHLY recommend this course for everyone. It's a good course with lots of information and "stuff" I promise you "do not know" even if you think you do. :)
?
Thanks.
?
Diana

Subject: [Troop139] CERT Training
Hi Folks!
Bergen County just announced that a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
class will start October 12, 2011.
Many of our Scouts and parents have taken this course and it is encouraged
to enhance personal, family and community preparedness.
If you will be 13 this fall, please consider taking the course. Of course
family and friends are encouraged to take this course as well! As
background, it was Troop 139 that tested the involvement of youth for Bergen
County when Andrew Flannery and John Beattie (now both Eagle Scouts) took
this course five years ago with Alex Sakelos (past Scoutmaster of Troop 316)
and me.
Since then, Nancy Beattie, Diana Valencia, Ed Kochakian and Dennis Aujero
took the course with Deion Aujero, Jeremy Beattie, Peter Davidson, Charlie
Dewey, Eddie Kochakian, Karl Schubert, Robbie Schubert and Eisen Villaluna.
When we attended the National Jamboree in 2010, the CERT training was key to
our response to a nasty wind condition that leveled another Troop's
campsite.
Car pooling is key to make it possible for the boys to attend this course,
so please discuss this or raise your hand if you can provide transportation
or if your son needs a ride.
It will be held at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute, 281
Campgaw Rd, Mahwah, NJ from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Please e-mail back if you have any questions or if you intend to take the
course.
Remember you must attend all ten classes to graduate.
