[Troop139] Yard Cleanup Service Project

On Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM, we have been asked to help a longtime
neighbor and senior citizen on my block clear the weeds and tall grass from
her back yard.  She is infirmed and unable to do it herself and one of my
neighbors asked if we could lend a hand.  For years, her neighbors have
shoveled snow from her walks and at this point, her back yard needs some
clearance.  

 

We could use rakes, weed whackers and a sturdy lawn mower or brush clearer.
If someone has a tiller or a mulcher, that would be great!  The goal is to
level the back yard of all greenery and load up the brush into green leaf
bags which will be provided.  My neighbors will then come in later and
figure out what to do in the yard.

 

Please let me know if you can come and please plan to wear your orange Troop
t-shirt and sturdy pants and boots.  I would also suggest bringing work
gloves and a hat.  I will provide beverages and snacks.  We should be done
before dinner.
