[Troop139] Troop 139 Schedule

Hi Folks!



This is always a special time of the year for Boy Scout Troop 139 and this
spring promises to be a bit more special than usual.  Please pay close
attention to the schedule and confirm your attendance and/or your family's
attendance in support of your Scout and the Scouts of the Troop.  We will
have sign up sheets this week at the Troop meeting or you may reply to this
email to w2ttt at att.net.

 

Tuesday, April 19th             7:00 PM Troop Meeting - Seizure First Aid

Thursday, April 21st           6:00 PM Conlon Hall - Meet in FULL UNIFORM
for Holy Thursday Mass

            We will move to the Church by 6:30 PM.  Drop your hiking and
sleeping gear in Conlon Hall and join us.

            Families are encouraged to attend with the Troop as well.

Food will be provided by the Troop, but pack water and favorite snacks.

            We will be staying overnight in preparation for the Annual Good
Friday Church Hike 

WE NEED CHAPERONES for the overnight.

If you arriving late, come by 9:30 PM.  

We will step off for the hike at 6:00 AM on Friday after a continental
breakfast.  

 

Friday, April 22nd                 6:00 AM - Depart Conlon Hall for the Good
Friday Church Hike.  Finish around 3:00 PM or so.

 

Saturday, April 23rd            10:00 AM -12:00 PM - Parish cleanup, sweep,
rake and plant around the Church for Easter.

 

Saturday, April 23rd            6:30 PM - Easter Vigil Pascal Fire Lighting
at St. John's 

                                                Come help light the Pascal
Fire on the front steps of St. John's and attend Mass

Bring the family.  No uniforms. 

 

Friday, April 29th                  8:00 AM - Amateur Radio Course 8:00 AM
in the Church Basement

7:00 PM for license exam if you cannot attend the course.  Scouts who have
School can attend after dismissal

Email W2TTT at ATT.NET for study materials.  

There is no fee for the course, but there is a $14 fee for the exam.  Bring
ID.

No charge for Troop members and their families for the course.  

 

Saturday, April 30th            9:00 AM - Setup and rehearsal for Eagle
Scout Court of Honor - Conlon Hall

                                                4:00 PM - Scouts report in
full uniform for the Eagle Scout Court of Honor, Mass & Dinner - Conlon Hall

 

Friday, May  20th                  6:00 PM - Meet to depart for the State
Police Camporee 

Return midday Sunday having heard Mass at the Camporee.

 

Monday, May 30th               1:30 PM - Meet to march in the Memorial Day
Parade.  

Full uniform, Family members welcome to join us.  Ice Cream follows

 

Saturday, June 4th                  12:00 PM - Setup, rehearse and conduct
Eagle Scout Court of Honor - Church Basement

                                                Scouts report in full
uniform for the Eagle Scout Court of Honor

            

Sunday, June 5th                7:00 AM - Bergen County Bike Ride - Bergen
Community College - morning only

Riders can work on the Cycling Merit Badge, 

Amateur Radio communicators needed, SAG vehicle drivers needed as well

 

Friday, June 24th                 Campgaw Reservation Weekend for camping,
fishing, hiking, geocaching, Amateur Radio Field Day

            We will be going directly to Campgaw Reservation anytime on
Friday afternoon or evening.

Family barbecue and Court of Honor will be held on Saturday evening.  

We need a firm headcount for both the weekend and for the family barbecue
and Court of Honor.

We will departing on Sunday about Noon.  Arrangements for Mass are being
worked.

 

Monday, June 27th             Floodwood Trip to Work and Play for a Week for
fun in the Adirondacks

Trip will go to the following Saturday/Sunday.

13 years of age by the time of participation is required for this trip.
Itinerary will be discussed.  

 

REMEMBER, WE NEED TO CONFIRM PARTICIPATION ASAP FOR ALL THESE EVENTS!
