Hello everybody from Tuvalu islands! (276/30DX401)

I know that many operators in Europe worked 276AT101 Tili in the
past, but no QSL's were sent out because Tili never sent the logs to
the managers.

Well, it would be my big pleasure to work all those stations from
here and give them the chance to confirm this division, but
unfortunately it isn't the best time for propagation between Central
Pacific and Europe.

For your information, today I have met Tili and we have had lunch
together !!!

We have been talking about the logs and he explained what happened;

In 1998 nobody knew anything else from him, nor listened to him on
freq. because he QSYed to a different island in Tuvalu where he
didn't have the radio. He spent on that island more than one year,
and when he came back to Funafuti Atoll (the main island), he
concentrated on building his new QTH.
When he moved, from the old QTH to the new one, apparently he lost
the logs, and for this reason he couldn't send them to the managers.

Afterwards, he went on air again, but after some time his President
Grant suffered a technical problem which is, till now, being
repaired by a local technician here in Funafuti. Believe me that
things in the Pacific Ocean run veeeeery slow...they don't have any
hurry for anything at all, so it may take months till his radio is
fixed and he can be on the air again.

However, I asked him to try to find out those old logs, as there
were so many operators interested on them. I would help him and all
those operators when I had the logs, and he has promised he will try
to find them again before I leave next Monday. I will insist to him
again, so that he doesn't forget.

It is all I can do for now from here...

Feel free to forward this message to other lists, as this is quite
interesting for many operators.
