Looks like D41CV has also worked at least one station in Puerto Rico.
This propagation path opens every summer.
I’m still surprised a contact wasn’t completed in a prior year
But, of course, it takes 2 stations to actually be there at the same time, on both sides.
They should be able to complete on CW and SSB also.
If you Google FG8OJ, the twitter comments should come up.

I just saw a news item on QRZ now that D41CV Cape Verde Is. worked FG8OJ on two meters FT8 over a 3,867 Kilometer path last Sunday. Not quite continent to continent but across the Atlantic.
