My carelessness; in post #2, paragraph 8 distance from San Juan to Terceira is 
193, NOT 2296; distance from DR to same is 2908, NOT 1991; major errors! And in 
aragraph 12, elevations "easily reached" on Terceiria are 3300-3400 ASL, NOT 
044MSL as I posted. Sorry for confusion - blame it on being 72 years, km to 
iles, or stupidity! 73, Bob
