Ray,
    Just about everything you have stated is totally wrong!  The 
recommended installation specs are available on the Rohn WEB site or you 
can call them for the catalog or CD.  Otherwise, a PE who is experienced 
in Tower design should be consulted.  Speculation causes fatal accidents.
