Fellow Tennessee Hams,
In Honor of our annual Field Day, Governor Phil Bredesen has once  
again signed a Proclamation declaring June 21 - 27, 2009 as Amateur  
Radio Week. Here follows a photo of the Governor presenting the  
Proclamation to Glen Clayton, Tennessee Section Manager, and Ingrid  
Klose, Tennessee State Government Liaison. A copy of the Proclamation  
will be added at the next posting. Feel free to use these when writing  
your press releases for Field Day

Please go to the URL at the top for the photo, and a PDF copy of the  
proclamation that can be used to send to the  various news outlets and  
other media resources you may wish to contact in order to promote  
amateur radio and field day for your club or group.  There is 100  
bonus points for proof of media publicity or attempt:

7.3.2. Media Publicity: 100 bonus points may be earned for attempting  
to obtain publicity from the local media. A copy of the press release,  
or a copy of the actual media publicity received (newspaper article,  
etc) must be submitted to claim the points. Available to all Classes.
