Here in WTN I've heard that there was some structural damage in Fayette
county, which I haven't seen, and none in Hardeman that I know of.
A friend's home (over 100 years old) and his small barn were destroyed by
straight line winds in Chester county right at the Hardeman Co line. He and his
wife were sleeping (!) when the storm hit but neither was injured in any way.
The barn is flattened and the roof was torn from the house and wound up in
pieces over 100 yards away! Other than some minor damage from rain once the
roof left, NOTHING in the house was damaged. AMAZING!

I took a few exterior pictures, but have no where to post them...

It was looking BAD here in Whiteville, but I could not raise any repeater so
went home to hide in the closet if necessary. Thankfully, it wasn't
necessary! Fortunately the Whiteville Police Department was out in force doing
SkyWarn duties and they have reliable radio communication with the Sheriff's office
in Bolivar.

We're at a severe disadvantage in this part of Hardeman county, and south of
here, when mobile. I can hit the Brownsville repeater, however not reliably.
When there's a lot of lightning I can't raise it at all. My 2 meter base
station took a lightning hit after Katrina and is still down. A heart attack has
prevented me from doing any work on the tower, but I believe I'm good to go
now, so that link should be back up soon.
