The Tn. ARES System is moving to Condition Bravo current as of August 31,
2005.

This is in response to the American Red Cross opening shelters in Tennessee
to provide
places for the evacuees from hurricane Katrina.


The Red Cross is requesting assistance to provide communications at the
shelters when they open. They are going into this with a 30 - 60 day
outlook.
Many places will not need or require shelters, therefore please be ready to
support
those that will have them.

The NTS is also gearing up to assist with H&W traffic into the affected
areas.

All EC's please contact you DEC with updates often so resources can be
pulled from
other areas as needed.
Any county can move to a higher alert status if the situation dictates.
