MTARS will have a packet maildrop set up at our Field Day site to take any
Field Day messages for the Tn. Section Mgr. Larry Marshall, WB4NCW.

Callsign of the digi mailbox will be W4UOT-4
Frequency will be 145.770

There are two ARES digipeaters located in Middle Tn. that should be able to
provide a path for many folks.
ARES-1 is located on Short Mt. in Cannon Co. and ARES-7 is located in Coffee
Co. Both of the ARES digi's are on 145.770.
Some folks may not be able to hit either digi direct without one of their
neighbors acting as a digipeater. That is the beauty of packet radio. Talk
with your neighboring field day groups to see who will have packet radio
setup that may be able to help your group.

IF ANY GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS PLAN TO HAVE PACKET AND CAN ACT AS A DIGIPEATER
OR NODE FOR FOLKS IN WEST AND EAST TN. ---------- PLEASE POST YOUR
INTENTIONS SO OTHERS WILL KNOW AND CAN UTILIZE THE SYSTEM.

Demonstration of a packet node can gain your Field Day extra points if it is
separate from the existing packet infrastructure.

Thank you,
