Middle Tennessee Tornado Drill, Feb 25 9AM- 930AM
A Tornado Drill will be conducted by the National Weather Service, Wednesday
morning, February 25, 2004, between 9:00AM and 9:30AM LOCAL TIME, weather
permitting, as a part of Severe Weather Awareness Week in Tennessee. If
Wednesday's weather is inclement, the test will be Thursday, February 26,
2004.
In conjunction with the National Weather Service Tornado Drill, K4OHX will
activate the MTEARS Repeater Link System and take check ins from all
counties across Middle Tennessee including counties outside the area. This
net will be a time, to not only check in with the National Weather Service,
but also to test out your equipment. During this test, it is advised that
you check your receive coverage of the different repeaters within the MTEARS
Repeater Link System to get familiar with the them. In the event that a
repeater is down, you know what other repeater you can tune to.
Please make every effort to join us in the Tornado Drill test on the MTEARS
system.
