I have some IOT devices (particle electron) still running on 3G in the bowling green area. As of this writing, I’m watching it communicate on 3G. Not sure how long it will be up but working on a 4G solution at the moment.

3G locally has been gradually disappearing over the past couple years or so.  The carriers have published official timelines, but my experience is that you may get a little extra bonus time.  I finally had to give in and get a 4G LTE phone a few months ago once my 3G phone was no longer usable in West Toledo and Sylvania.  Official timeline said it should have quit working almost a year before that.

Subject: [TMRA] 3G dropped locally?

Hello, Wanted to check with the NW Ohio Amateur community to find-out what wireless/cell provider completely dropped their 3G service effective April 1, 2022 ?  Have a friend with medical equipment that would 'call-in' daily for tracking health progress, and now the machine will not do that. Seems most likely that 3G service is gone and has orphaned that medical hardware?
