Bob had a great sense of humor:  he was a close buddy of Larry WD8PKI.  I
don't know that they actually did this, but they talked of sending NTS
traffic, addressed to John Smith, and Bob would then spell out the name
phonetically and then say "I repeat" and spell it out again.  After the
message, he would sign it with two long, complicated Polish names, with the
comment "common spelling".
