This year the Event has a new Organizer in Richard King/ KE8IJV. The event will start with setup in the Morning and run until 6 pm. Who:? Toledo Mobile Radio Association W8H MBY? ? What:? Ohio State Parks on the Air? ? When:? Saturday September 7, 2019 10am ? 6pm ET? ? Where:? Maumee State Park, Big Field? ? Purpose? To promote public awareness of ham radio and Ohio?s beautiful state park system; to contribute to the recognition that Ohio has a very diverse and wonderful ecology; tp promote camaraderie within the ranks of Ohio?s Amateur Radio Operators; and to encourage contact with other Amateur Radio Operators; and to encourage contact with other Amateur Radio Operators around the state, country, and world.? ? Objective? To have competing stations operating from as many of Ohio?s Seventy-four (74) state parks as possible.? Making contacts from an Ohio State Park to other Ohio State Parks is the goal all stations should strive for.? Note:? Non-Ohio stations may work only Ohio stations located in an Ohio State Park.? Ohio stations not located in an Ohio State Park may only contact stations operating from inside an Ohio State Park.? ? Exchange? Stations operating from an Ohio State Park send their call sign and their Ohio State Park Identifier. Example:? W8H MBY TMRA?s Call sign and Maumee Bay State Park Identifier.? ? Entry Categories? ? MML ? Multi-Op Multi-Transmitter Low Power (.1 to 100 watts) located at one Ohio State Park.? ? MMH ? Multi-Op Multi-Transmitter High Power (>100watts) located at one Ohio State Park? ? TMRA will be hosting the Ohio State Parks on the Air at the Maumee State Park.? We will be a Multi-Op Multi-Transmitter Entry.? Entries where more than one Person performs the operating and or logging functions using more than one transmitter.? Multi-Op Multi-Transmitter entries may employ multi transmitters simultaneously on different bands.? One call sign used.? At this time we are planning Stations on 20,40 and 80 Meters. In addition to the Regular Radio Operation, the Members of the NOW Aredn Mesh Committee will be deploying the AD-Hock Mesh Network and testing its capabilities as well as offering instruction to others on its uses. I was just informed of one (30' tower) that is installed and needing removed (free to someone that can/would be willing to remove it). It is currently installed and appears to be free-standing, and is a smaller tower that appeared to support a tv antenna previously. (not sure on manufacturer) Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you his contact information.
