*THIS IS ONLY A PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR 2019 FIELD DAY. I CAN ONLY HOPE
THIS GOES SMOOTHLY.*
*----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*
*Setup on Friday June 21*:
We will meet at the lockup at 9 am and load up the tent, the ladder, and
other assorted Field Day equipment.
We will try to be at the Field Day site about 10 am.
*Before we set up the tent we plan to install as many antennas as we can.*
We will need to assemble the HEX beam. This will take several people.
Dave KD8EVN is scheduled to undertake this task and will need volunteers
to help him.
The tent placement will depend on finding a central location to the
field and the operating sites.
Once we have decided on an appropriate site, we will erect the tent.
Lunch is at 12 pm. Bring or buy your own lunch.
Set up FD server and get laptops loaded with N3FJP Software. If you have
a laptop that needs the program, bring it Friday or early Saturday and
we will try to get it operational.
Setup signage and the Information Table/Booth.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Operation on Saturday June 22nd:*
ARES Meeting at 9 am see KD8IZU
Setup and testing of station equipment.
Lunch is served at 11:30 am.
We are anticipating youthful visitors. Please direct any youth to our
education committee members at KC8TVW's station. They will handle the
educational portion for the youth.
The contest will start at 2 pm.
Make sure your station is grounded.
If you hear thunder, disconnect your station from the antenna.
Dinner is served at 6 pm. Dish to pass... please see Rich, KD8WCB
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Operation on Sunday June 23:*
Breakfast is served at 8 am
Bring or buy your own lunch. (Leftovers are possible)
Contest is over at 2 pm.
Begin tear down and removal of equipment. We will need many volunteers
for this.
We will need pickup trucks to haul equipment back to the lockup.
/Tim, KD8IZU will be the safety officer for the entire event./
/I am in need of a second safety officer for this event. Let me know if
you are willing to undertake this. It is not difficult and won't take
away from your operating time./
/I am also in need of help to get the FD server operational and to
install software on Laptops./
