 Hello all ,

Well, Field Day has come and just about gone. The Club will be operating until 2 pm today (06/24/18) at the Wolcott House out in Maumee, there’s still several hours for you to get out and get on the air. The TMRA now enters a slow time. Not to much on the on Schedule in July. After a busy June it will be a nice chance to catch our breath and get ready for the Sylvania Triathlon weekend, the Ohio QSO Party, and then Ohio State Parks on the air. Keep an eye on this email for information. Don’t forget that at the July meeting Rob/KV8P will be hosting the Tape Measure Antenna Build.

The initial info on the Sylvania Super Kids and Sylvania Triathlon.

Its been mentioned to me that I do not list when and where the TMRA meeting are going to be in this posting. WOW, I cannot believe I didn’t think of putting them here. Antenna Build / KV8P
Rob / KV8P has announced he will be leading a Club Antenna Build at the July Meeting. The Antenna, a Tape Measure Yagi (2 Meter) is both effective and inexpensive to build. Used primarily for Fox Hunting this antenna can also be effective as a low power transmit antenna.
The build will take place at the TMRA July 2018 Business Meeting.

SYLVANIA SUPER-KIDS AND THE SYLVANIA TRIATHLON. 
The next big events for the ARES will be the super kids/triathlon weekend. The first weekend in August will be a busy one. Please consider volunteering for one or both of these events.
The Dates are:
Super kids – Saturday August 4th 2018
Sylvania Triathlon – Sunday August 5th 2018
Both of these events will require multiple Operators. Keep an eye out for an upcoming email from Rick/K8RKS looking for help on these great events.

LUCAS COUNTY A.R.E.S.

The next ARES meeting will be July 28th 2018 at 0900. The meeting will be held in the private Basement Dining Room at St. Lukes Hospital in Maumee Ohio. 
All are welcome.

There was a special election at the June ARES meeting to fill the vacant LCARES INC Board seat. Congratulations to Brian/WD8MXR on being elected to that seat.

Description: Technical committee Meeting. This meeting is open to TMRA Members and Invited Guests only.

TMRA General Meeting
When: Wed, July 11, 7pm – 9pm
Where: 727 LIME CITY ROAD, ROSSFORD, OH 43460 
Description: General Business Meeting, This Meeting is open to the public.

TMRA Executive Committee
When: This meeting is scheduled as needed. Typically the 4th Wednesday of the Month (when scheduled)
Where: Maumee Fire Station #2 Maumee Ohio
Description: Executive board members meet to discuss Club Business. This meeting is open to TMRA Members and invited guests only.

TMRA NETS

 ARES IN BRIEF NET  on Sunday Nights at 1930 on the 147.270 Repeater. All are welcome to check in.

NEWCOMERS AND ELMERS NET (see note #2 below)

Are you new to Ham Radio, or so you just feel inexperienced, perhaps  you just have a question that you need answered?
Be sure to tune into the TMRA Newcomers and Elmers net each Sunday night at 8pm. This Net follows the ARES in brief Net on the 147.270 Repeater. 
 Net Control Stations for the Newcomers and Elmers Net are needed. If you would like to take the Net and try your hand at Net Control, or if you have a topic to suggest for the Net, get ahold of Dave / KD8EVN

DIGITAL SOUNDCARD NET
Are you interested in learning more about Digital Modes? Well then be sure to check into the FLDIGI Net every Tuesday Night at 1930 on the 147.270 repeater. All are welcome and New Operators are encouraged to check in and get up to speed on FLDIGI and MMSSTV. Its informative and a lot of fun.

 6 METER NETS
DAN / KE8UE

Dan KE8UE, has asked me to list his weekly 6 Meter Nets. Dan runs 2 informal roundtable nets every week on the 6 Meter Band.
The first is  a repeater based net on Monday Nights on the TMRA 6 Meter Repeater. 
The Second is an  SSB based net on Thursday Nights on 6 meter SSB. 
Everyone is welcomed to check into these social Nets.

Mondays at 9pm. Roundtable Net on  53.110 with a negative 1 Mhz offset (W8HHF Repeater)
Thursday at 9pm. Roundtable Net on 50.255 USB 

Dan also advises that on the Second Monday of every Month he needs a Net Control Operator for this net.

ALL RADIO AMATEURS ARE WELCOMED TO CHECK INTO ANY TMRA NET.

NOTE #1

*****Tech Committee Advisory***** 

224.140(-) Information:  The 224.140 repeater is currently "off the air".  The technical committee recently made the decision to temporarily utilize the feed line for the 224.140 repeater for a temporary 147.270 antenna just while the new antennas are being raised.  We expect the 147.270 repeater to be on this feed line and antenna, and for 224.140 to be off the air, just until the new 147.270 antenna is in place (Currently scheduled for June 9th, weather pending).
