The roads are deceivingly covered in black ice at almost 1/2 of the intersections (in my neighborhood at least). I watched the "circus of sliding cars" this morning, myself. Also, just a clarification as snow emergencies relate to club meetings. Since this alert was due to icing, from freezing rain this morning, we suspect that it will be cleared up well before our meeting this evening as temperatures top out near 50 degrees later today (and the road salt kicks in). However, as always, we typically look at the conditions at 5pm (just before meeting time) each meeting night. If there are not any snow emergencies (any level) at that time, we will have a meeting. (As of 5pm, any active snow emergency will cancel club meetings, which we don't expect will be the case later today.) I hope to see everyone this evening! Please bring any D-Star and Fusion operation questions with you that you might have. Tonight should be informative and provide a good opportunity for our members to ask questions related to specific radio setup to use the D-Star and Fusion systems! 73, Rob - KV8P ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Date: Wed, Jan 10, 2018 at 8:50 AM Subject: Alert Notification To: do-not-reply at inspironlogistics.com Lucas County Alerts: A Level One Snow Emergency has been declared for Lucas County.
