Hello everyone.
There was quite a bit going on this past week.
Chrissy / KC8UFV reports that the Surface Mount Clock Build went well. She said “Not everyone showed up, and some didn’t finish, but they learned something, and they are confident they can finish on their own.”
She still has the Kits for those that ordered and were unable to attend.
Thanks to Chrissy for hosting this event and for all she does for our Club.
The TMRA General Business meeting was Wednesday, There was a presentation from ICOM. I was sadly unable to attend, but I understand it was a great meeting with EXCELLENT turn out.
Steve/KC8TVW hosted A CW Practice session on Saturday Feb 17 at Trilby Church on Secor Road. I have not heard how things went, but based on past sessions, I dare to say it was a great session.
Ham-Fest is just a month away!!!!!!
Brad

ITS TIME TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP AT THE HAM-FEST!!!!!
Ham-Fest is the TMRAs primary income source for the year. It’s a working ham-fest for all TMRA members.
That doesn’t mean you have to work, or even have to work all day, or both days. Typically we see a group of about 20 or so of the members doing ALL the work at Ham-Fest. WE NEED HELP. If you signs up to help for even an hour, that could mean an hour used to give another member a break. Not all jobs require a lot of hard labor. You could sit and mind a door for 30 minutes, go check out the vendor tables, and then help with the Prize table, or ticket sales for 30 minutes. You cold watch the door and check tickets as our guests come into the fest. (that’s actually a fun job, because you get to meet and say hi to so many people). So PLEASE sign up to lend a hand no time is to little. Remember what Mike / WA8SYD always says, MANY HANDS LIGHTEN A HEAVY LOAD!!!!
Here is a list of the people you need to contact to volunteer.

The TMRA 6 meter repeater is now officially "on the air" (as of December 22nd). The frequency is53.110 with a 1 MHz negative offset (repeater receives on 52.110). Note that we have noticed that many radios are not programmed with an automatic offset for 6 meters (or have the wrong offset for a different country). Therefore, you may need to configure the offset spacing in your radio which typically can be done via a visit to your radio manual. This setting is often one in your radio's menu setting.
Thanks to Rich (KQ6EF) for his major role in bringing the 6 meter repeater online! Also, thanks to Rich, Tom (KD8WCD) and Mike (W8MAL) for raising the repeater antenna!
