Hello all,

 Due to a change in my work assignment, this email will be coming out on the weekend instead of on Tuesday mornings. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. There are a bunch of events coming up.  I’m happy to see the return of the CW practice sessions. These sessions are a great opportunity to learn or relearn  CW in a friendly environment, with an excellent Elmer. Thanks to Steve for bringing the sessions back.

Ham fest is coming up and the committee heads are going to be looking for Volunteers to help. This is the clubs main source of income for the year, so please volunteer some time that weekend. Look for more info on this as we get closer.

The TMRA General Business meeting is this month, ICOM is set to make a presentation.

Steve / KC8TVW has announced the return of the CW Practice sessions.

TECHNICIANS LICENSE CLASS NOW FORMING!!!

The TMRA is now forming a spring Technicians License class. The class will follow the standard TMRA format. The first class will be held on Saturday April 7th 2018. Two weeks later on Saturday April 21st  the second class will meet. There will be a V.E. Test session after the class on the 21st. 
Both Sessions will be from 0800am to 1700pm(8am to 5pm).
The class is FREE and ARRL study Guides will be for sale for those needing them. This will be the last class for the current Tech Manual as its scheduled to change in mid 2018.

SKYWARN

A date has been announced for the 2018 Sky warn Training Event. Due to a change at NWS the session will be held on a week night.
The date for the Event is
THURSDAY APRIL 5TH 2018
It starts at 1830 pm
The event will be held in the Auditorium at St.Lukes Hospital in Maumee Ohio
More updates about Sky warn will follow in future weeks.

LUCAS COUNTY A.R.E.S.

The next ARES meeting will be February 24th 2018 at 0900 at St.Lukes Hospital. We meet in the private Basement Dining Room for the meeting. Want to have Breakfast before the meeting? Many ARES members meet at 0800 for Breakfast in the Cafeteria before the meeting. All are welcome.
