Steve,

Thanks for the update and invitations. Glad we are working on Field Day. I
will not be present, because I will be out of town. I will look for you
next year.

Subject: [TMRA] Update for FIELD DAY

UP DATE FOR FIELD DAY

ORANGE TEAM (80 / 160 METERS)

Arraignments have been made to place an 80 meter dipole oriented to
radiate mostly east and west. A 160 meter dipole is oriented to radiate
mostly north and south. Emergency traffic is planned to send from a NVIS
underneath the 160 meter dipole. Several members of the Orange Team are
planning on working 160 in the evening hours. The Orange team needs
several more operators to provide help. Please sign on to help with 80 /
160 meter setup and operation.

GREEN TEAM (40 / 15 METERS)

Preparations for the station include members coordinating the use of
many pieces of equipment in order to optimize the station and its'
output. They are getting additional laptops to help with logging for
their team. Green Team is planning on setting up a 40 meter dipole to
radiate mostly north and south. A vertical antenna is planned to be set
up for omnidirectional operation. Green team still looking for
additional help for setup and station operation.

PINK TEAM (20 / 10 METERS)

Gathering together to get the Crappie (That's "croppy") 20 meter beam
used on the Schoonmaker. It is now to be used as the rotatable 20 meter
beam for Field Day. The Pink Team is _greatly understaffed_ and is
looking for hams to put this station together and make it completely
operational. Radios, laptops, SWR meters, power supplies and just about
anything else to create the station is needed. Almost nothing has been
acquired at this time. The Pink Team needs your help and they need it in
a hurry. The beam will be attached to a ladder and be raised into
position. Line handlers will be needed to accomplish this.

GET ON THE AIR TEAM (2 / 6 METERS)

Plans are underway to setup and operate not only 6 and 2 but 70 cm as
well. They are planning FM, and USB operation. The GOTA Team has made
arraignments for a few beam antennas to grace the antenna field. The
best is yet to come as we are also having a satellite station operating
on 2 and 440 frequencies to setup and operate there as well.

HOW DO YOU SIGN ON TO A TEAM???

Send me an e-mail and I will put you in touch with the team of your
choice, Pink, Green, or Orange. Your help and participation are needed
to make this field day a great success!

Thank you in advance for your participation. Sign on because the fun
begins when you have a hand in it.
