From rhall987 at robhall.org Fri Feb 3 19:47:30 2017 From: rhall987 at robhall.org (Robert Hall) Date: Fri, 3 Feb 2017 19:47:30 -0500 Subject: [TMRA] 442.850 is FM ONLY going forward Message-ID: As of today, the 442.850 repeater is FM ONLY and is no longer available for Yaesu Fusion/C4FM use starting today. While the repeater can be linked to 147.27, it is being left "unlinked" for the time being. (We may eventually re-link them just for the Sunday night nets.) For those that are curious, we placed the Icom repeater back in-line and the Fusion/C4FM system is being sent out for an upgrade. When the fusion repeater returns, the technical committee intends to place the Fusion repeater in Digital C4FM mode on Wires-X (internet linked) downtown on 146.835- where we will be giving it a good trial run. If it works well we intend to leave it active there downtown on digital Wires-X. 146.835 will likely stay offline until the fusion repeater goes active (D-Star on 146.835 is currently offline). Note also that the 70cm D-Star systm is still online and active and will stay available with no changes. We'll send out an update email and update the website when the Wires-X Fusion repeater is online and available on 146.835. (likely 3-4 weeks out) One additional side note, the Icom repeater (442.850) hears a little better (is more sensitive) than the Fusion system did, and we placed the system back on the single antenna today. Therefore, we will be looking for signal report input in the coming weeks. Thanks to those that helped with the transition today (KQ6EF, KD8WCD, KC8UFV and AA8HS). Many hands made for quick work! 73, Rob - KV8P and the TMRA Technical Committee From chris at engravedimage.com Fri Feb 3 23:03:57 2017 From: chris at engravedimage.com (Chrissy Hart) Date: Fri, 03 Feb 2017 23:03:57 -0500 Subject: [TMRA] 442.850 is FM ONLY going forward In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <82a584bc-f1d4-478f-9182-df915d701605@typeapp.com> The Sunday night net script is configured to link and unlink all 3 FM repeaters. ?Chrissy Hart? I'm not sure why it took them so long to realize they had it but if it's yours let me know so I can get it back to you.
