Due to conflicts in my schedule, we are holding this meeting 2 weeks ahead of field day. I would like to invite anyone who is wanting to put up an antenna on field day to attend a meeting at the Wolcott house on Friday June 12th at 5:00 PM. We have several stations that will be on the same band and there is a need for coordination between stations and their antennas. It is easier to do the coordinating before field day so we can avoid conflicts and enjoy the event. It is important that this meeting be attended by those who want to hang an antenna during field day so that all concerned can come to field day prepared with a plan. Field day is not just a picnic and gathering event, it is intended to educate hams as to how to deal with problems in the field and how to work around those problems. 73, Steve / W8TER TMRA Field Day Coordinator. Looks like a good possibility for rain on Saturday from early morning to much of the day to about 6:00 pm. I would ask that if you are able to help on Friday that you consider staying later to attempt to get as much of the site set up on Friday so we do not have to work in the rain on Saturday. I originally asked for help to arrive at the site at 4 PM. Due to the updated weather forecast calling for rain on Saturday I intend to start as early as 1 PM to get a jump on the set up. If you are able to start earlier, I would welcome your assistance in getting a jump on the setup in order to knock out as many of the tasks as we can. If you cannot come earlier please come when you can. Thanks for your time and efforts in all this. 73, Steve/W8TER -- Steve Bellner Mobile Phone: 419-367-1200 E-mail: w8ter at arrl.net Radio Call: W8TER
