[TMRA] New ham saying hello!

Hi, my name is Micah Lawson, KD8VCV. I received my ham radio license
(general class) earlier this year, and have since been wanting to get in
contact with some people who can help me take full advantage of the hobby.
I have always been interested in radio communications, however I've never
found a way to fully explore it until I learned about getting a ham radio
license. Being new, I'm still getting used to all of the ins and outs, but
I have monitored local 2m and 70cm repeaters quite often to get a feel for
what's going on. I've also made some contacts on these bands.

Hope to hear from some of you soon! I haven't found too much activity in my
area in the way of meetups or anything, though I did hear about the TMRA
club from the ARRL website. I'm just looking for people willing to help a
new, young ham radio enthusiast to get into the hobby!
