A couple of ham radio special events that have come through my e-mail
lately:
#1:
Museum Ships Weekend 2012 – June 2 2012 0000Z June 3 2012 2359Z .
Activating IOTA NA-143 (Pelican Is.) Brazos Valley ARC will be operating
from radio rooms of WWII Submarine USS Cavalla and Destroyer Escort USS
Stewart from Seawolf Park on Pelican Is. in Galveston, Texas. We will be
operating on 10-80 meters (SSB and CW). Be a part of living history as we
commemorate the actions of these ships and crews. More information at

The Digital Amateur Radio Project Association (DARPA) will be on air
hopefully by 9am cst, 26 May 2012
The special event station(KJ4NYH, D-Star) will setup on May 26 Memorial Day
Weekend on REF038A supporting ARMAD, which is the Amateur Radio Military
Appreciation Day for our US Arm Forces active and retired, and first
responders. We would like for the whole world to know how special they are
and how they have served. So Stop by and check in on REFLECTOR 038A and
hello. Will also be on HF. the listed frequencies are below HF Operation
Frequencies:
7.260 MHz, 14.260 MHz, 21.290 MHz, 28.450 MHz (+/- QRM)
Will also list phone call in numbers for those who may not have ham
licenses or those hams that don't have there stations up and running.

A special treat to the D-Star world, we are working on a 10m module for
d-star and would like to have suggestion on the best frequency to run it
on. We will give at this saying 5 days so we can post to the interested
parties on what frequency to call in on DX digital. So please get your
suggestion in quick.
