Hello all. Since many of you are practicing your digital skills with FLDigi
during the recent nets, I've updated the TMRA "Downloads" page with some
relevant information.
http://www.tmrahamradio.org/Digi-Class.php
There is a section there specifically for FLDigi with quite a few links,
including links to some excellent YouTube videos which visually show you how
to get up and running using the FLMsg and FLWrap programs we've recently
started using on the nets.
In addition, the slide show which was presented this past February at the
digital training session is available for viewing:
http://www.slideshare.net/kglassarrl/advanced-nbems-6020310
For those of you who've been listening, we're obviously still working out
the bugs and learning as we go along. Eventually we'll be updating the
start-up guide with new information.
Please note that it's hard to provide one on one assistance during these
nets. We're trying to accommodate everyone! But please be patient with us
as we are all learning this stuff as we go!
Also, remember that this e-mail reflector is available for YOU to use. As
you are receiving this e-mail, you are subscribed to this e-mail reflector
(e-mail "list"). If you'd like to send a message to the group, perhaps to
ask a question, or to share a bit of knowledge, simply send an e-mail to
tmra at mailman.qth.net and it will be forwarded to everyone on this e-mail
list. Don't be shy, it's here for you... if you're a newer member feel free
to ask questions, that's what it's here for!!!
In addition, if you are interested in the digital practice going on, e-mail
Steve, KC8TVW - KC8TVW at ARRL.NET - and let him know you're interested. He's
maintaining a list of hams who are interested in the digital nets.
Periodically he sends out an "InfoCast" e-mail to let others know of digital
nets/trainings going on.
