[TMRA] GMRS gear

Hey all. I just got my license for GMRS and am wondering if anyone has any
(cheap quality and/or price) radios they're looking to get rid of that can
be used on GMRS freqs. I'm NOT looking for the FRS/GMRS HTs. I'm looking
for a cheap mobile (30W+) and maybe a 5W HT. The reason I got into GMRS in
addition to ham is that ONE license covers your family for five years for
$85. I've always wanted to get my family some rigs for emergencies but
always worried about that in the ham environment. GMRS doesn't have those
restrictions, or a test. I did the FCC on-line sign-up and paid via credit
card like Monday afternoon or so and Tuesday the callsign was posted on the
FCC ULS website. It kinda looks like a money grab by the FCC, but
whatever... now we're covered. For anyone who wants to hook up their family
with a radio license that gives far more flexibility than the .5 watt FRS
HTs, check out GMRS. Basically you can have up to 50 watts including
external antennas (FRS is .5 watts with NO external antennas). It's in the
440 band range (~462Mhz). I've seen lots of talk on the net that people
just mod ham or commercial stuff, so I see that's a route, but not
technically legal. But I'm wondering if anyone locally has some of this
stuff their no longer interested in and want to get some bucks for it.

73 all!
