I would also like to thank everyone. I have several health reasons that no longer let me do this sort of work, yet I enjoy the fruits of their labor and expertise every time I use the repeater. Thank you everyone!!!

  TMRA member:

Today we were able to accomplish more through team work than it seemed possible.

The work that was done at Parks Tower was a site to behold. All who were engaged in it worked diligently and with great professionalism.

The fruits of today's accomplishments make it evident that there is more sophistication to the amateur when it comes to getting communications up and running. The site looks as good as if not better than the professional side of the roof.

The 2 Meter repeater is back on the air with a new Stationmaster antenna, a new 1/2 hardline coax, and a new tower that exceeds the height of the old tower by more than several feet.

We placed the stand off for the 440 on the lower section of the (WEST) 2 meter tower and the stand off for the 220 was placed on the (EAST) commercial occupied tower.

The original coax to the 220 and the 440 were connected to the antennas however there still remains some work to be done with these two stand off antennas.

Just as a brief summary as to what was accomplished in dollars and cents, we had 11 people work from 9:00AM until 6:00 PM. Just today, This does not include yesterdays event. I think they earned their pay which was what every volunteer gets paid. Thanks for a job well done!!!

As far as I am concerned we are done with the work for this weekend and everyone should enjoy their Sunday.

The next phase of the project will need some of the tech committee to test the coax and the standoff antennas to determine if the maybe some new coax is in order for the 220 and the 440. We'll know more after we get them tested.

Enjoy the 2 meter repeater and we'll be moving forward on the 440 and the 220.

  73,

  Steve Bellner, W8TER
